Sliding Scale Ticket Pricing
In light of recent closures or suspensions of theater programs, both regionally and nationally, RedBird Theater Company offers an innovative new sliding-scale ticketing policy to better serve both our art and our audience.
Our Founders, Board members, and other Volunteers invest in live theater by donating our time and talents to provide administrative services — fundraising, marketing, public relations, house management, etc. — for the company. We work from our homes and laptops, and don’t spend company funds on office space and utilities.
We keep production costs to a minimum. At the same time, we are dedicated to paying artists; presenting top-quality productions in the intimate settings our audience has come to know and love; and keeping our productions accessible to all members of our community.
We invite you to join us in supporting live theater in North Carolina
by paying as generously as you can afford.
When you purchase your tickets, please select the price level at which you are most comfortable. And please know that all revenues from ticket sales go directly to paying artists and to meeting the real costs of producing live theater (royalties, insurance, costumes/sets/lights/props, equipment rentals, rehearsal/performance space, etc.).

General Admission - $30

Our suggested ticket price is $30, which may be more than affordable for some or prohibitive for others. $30 in no way reflects the fundamental economics of producing this show and paying our artists - that would be much more than a $30 ticket. A $30 ticket is simply what we hope is a comfortable median from which you can make your own decision about what your current circumstances can bear. If you can pay more, please do. If you need to pay less, please do.
