CAST & PRODUCTION TEAM BIOGRAPHIES

JJ Bauer (Technical Advisor)

JJ is delighted to work again with longtime friends at Redbird Theater Company. She has been a stage manager, props manager, costume designer, set designer, and utterly unwilling actor for various area theater companies, including Deep Dish Theater, Ghost and Spice Productions, NC State Theatrefest, The Open Door Theatre, Street Signs Center for Literature and Performance, and Wordshed Productions.

Serena Ebhardt (Misti)

​Serena Ebhardt is an award-winning actor, playwright, director, teaching artist, and producer based in North Carolina. She co-founded  EbzB Productions in 1998 with her husband, David zum Brunnen, creating original, nationally touring theatrical productions that blend history, storytelling, music, and community engagement - (www.ebzb.org).  Audiences may recognize Ebhardt from her recent performance in Hidden Voices’ A GOOD BOY, a recurring role in the Hulu series DOPESICK, or the current Civic Credit Union commercials. Ebhardt is also widely recognized for her arts-in-education and oral history work. Through residencies, workshops, and community collaborations, she uses theater as a tool for education, empathy, and civic dialogue. Recent projects include the Chatham County oral history initiative FARM TO STORY, which celebrates the lives and experiences of local farmers through performance and storytelling. 

Liza Guzman Ramirez (Noemí)

Liza Guzman-Ramirez is a Biology teacher that loves acting. Liza has worked in scripted pieces with various theater groups and ensembles, including the Playwright’s Round Table, and ArcLite Productions. Some of her highlights include playing Lady Capulet alongside her husband in an all-Spanish production of ROMEO AND JULIET; and being a prisoner in CONVERSATIONS WITH HITLER. Additionally, Liza has worked with various improv groups in the Triangle area, and a non-profit group that brings scripted and improvised shows to the elderly community. She also does interactive theater with Theater Delta.

Lynden Harris (Playwright)

Lynden Harris is the founder & Artistic Director of Hidden Voices. For 25 years, Hidden Voices has collaborated with underrepresented communities to create award-winning works that combine narrative, performance, mapping, music, digital media, and interactive exhibits. The former Artistic Director of ArtsCenter Stage, Lynden was a founding Cultural Agent for the US Dept of Arts & Culture, a 2024 and 2018 MAP Fund recipient, a 2021 Fellow with A Blade of Grass, & the 2020 North Carolina Playwriting Fellow. Her play COUNT premiered at Playmakers in 2018 and was staged most recently at the McCarter Theater in Princeton, NJ. The chamber musical A GOOD BOY (book, lyrics) had its world premiere in 2025 at Playmakers Rep. In 2021, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW: Life Stories from America’s Death Row was published by Duke University Press. Her latest Hidden Voices project is Sanctuary: Exploring the Borders of Belonging.

Rasool Jahan (Angie)

​Rasool Jahan received her B.A. in Theatre from North Carolina’s oldest HBCU. She has been a working professional actor on stage, film and TV for over 30 years, both East and West Coasts. Some of her favorite on stage roles include: Tedra in FAT HAM (PlayMakers Repertory), Esther in INTIMATE APPAREL (PlayMakers Repertory) and Vivian Bearing, PhD in WIT (Justice Theatre Project). She can currently be seen in CLASS OF ‘09 on Hulu. Rasool is a Board Member of Hidden Voices, a co-creative collective curated to lift the voices of marginalized communities and she lives in Durham, North Carolina.

Tamara Kissane (Director)

Tamara Kissane is a theatre-maker, actor, parent, and playwright based in Pittsboro, NC.  She was last seen as an actor in Redbird Theater Company's production of THE PRICE. In addition, as an actor, Tamara has performed locally with Justice Theater Project, Artist Soapbox, Theater Book Club, Manbites Dog Theater, Durham Academy, Theater Delta, Actors Improv Theater, Summer Sisters, Little Green Pig Theatrical Concern, Archipelago, and both hands theatre company. Tamara’s plays and monologues have been presented throughout the Triangle and Triad of NC; her work has been selected twice for development with the Carolina Playwrights Lab, won the Mark Gilbert Award in Greensboro, and featured in the Second Stage Season at Burning Coal. Through her podcast and production studio, Artist Soapbox, Tamara has produced, written, and directed a variety of audio dramas from anthologies to full-length series. She co-produces live audio and literary events including ASBX LIVE and Theater Book Club. Tamara was the 2020 Piedmont Laureate and received Outstanding Contribution to the Arts from Chatham Life & Style (2020). 

Jeri Lynn Schulke (Sher)

Jeri Lynn Schulke is an actor, director, producer and co-founder of RedBird Theater Company. Jeri Lynn has appeared in productions throughout the Triangle most recently in EUREKA DAY, THE GIRLFRIENDS' GUIDE TO THE WHITE HOUSE, A DOLL'S HOUSE PART 2, THE WOOLGATHERER (RedBird). Other favorites include: OH! WHAT A LOVELY WAR, EURYDICE, ALL THE KING'S MEN, ORSON'S SHADOW, LOBBY HERO, PRIVATE EYES, and THE WOLVES. Recent directing credits include: WITCH (RLT), APPROPRIATE (NRACT), ART (RedBird), SPRING AWAKENING (Kenan Theater), Kate Hamill’s PRIDE & PREJUDICE (RLT), SMALL MOUTH SOUNDS (Honest Pint), THE TAMING (Justice Theatre), and BONNIE AND CLYDE (NRACT). She received her MFA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. 

Edith Snow (Elisa Marie)

​Edith Snow has performed on NC stages for two plus decades. She has toured with the National Theater of the Deaf, Cleveland Sign Stage Company, Theater Delta, and Hidden Voices. Favorite roles include: Nora in Burning Coal’s A DOLL'S HOUSE, Mel in ManBites Dog’s GOD'S EAR, Amy in Theatre Raleigh’s JUNK, and Toni in NRACT’s APPROPRIATE. TV credits include: Marvel’s ECHO, HOMELAND, TURN: WASHINGTON'S SPIES, and ONE TREE HILL. She is so thankful to RedBird and for the wonderful playwright, Lynden Harris!
