CAST & PRODUCTION TEAM BIOGRAPHIES

JJ Bauer (Technical Advisor)

JJ is delighted to work again with longtime friends at Redbird Theater Company. She has been a stage manager, props manager, costume designer, set designer, and utterly unwilling actor for various area theater companies, including Deep Dish Theater, Ghost and Spice Productions, NC State Theatrefest, The Open Door Theatre, Street Signs Center for Literature and Performance, and Wordshed Productions.

Scott Cambell (Althus Gray)

Scott was an actor/performer from an early age, appearing in school and church plays, and singing in the choir. That continued into his college years and then to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and television. He honed his craft studying with renowned acting teacher and director Milton Katselas at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, where he also performed the lead in several plays. He was also privileged to work with and learn from accomplished actors and directors in film and television. While he loved the creativity and passion of acting, unavoidable life events took him in a different direction. He has been a yoga teacher the past 25 years, and only recently returned to acting, reigniting the spark that started so long ago.

Chris Canfield (Playwright)

Chris Canfield grew up in a house divided: by the Mason-Dixon line. He strives to weave those at-times taut threads of difference into compelling stories. A Dramatists Guild member, Chris received a graduate degree in English literature from the University of Oxford (U.K.) as a Rhodes Scholar and a screenwriting fellowship to the American Film Institute (L.A.). His one-act, FRIENDLY FIRE, about a shooting on a college campus, was produced in theaters in North Carolina and New York City.  Chris was also commissioned to write children’s plays about the environment: THE GREEN MAN GETS A HAND and DRINK YOUR TEA FOR TWO.

Mary Beth Clark (Rosalind Caudwell)

Mary Beth Clark has performed in THE SKIN OF OUR TEETH, THE AMERICAN DREAM, GUYS AND DOLLS, DREAMLAND, and IF YOU WON'T...I... . She lives with her family in Pittsboro, where she enjoys singing, dancing, gardening, dressing up in nice gowns, and community organizing.

Kevin Collins (Althie Gray)

Kevin Collins is excited to be returning to RedBird for another staged reading after performing in MASHA & ANTOSHA. His recent credits in the Triangle area include LUNGS (Justice Theater Project), AS YOU LIKE IT (Elsewhere Shakespeare), WITCH (Raleigh Little Theater), and APPROPRIATE (North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theatre).

Marcia Edmundson (Hannah Milford)

Marcia Edmundson performed at the ArtsCenter in Mark Cornell’s THE BALLAD OF JOHNNY WHITMORE (Full Nelson) and THE TREASURER (American Theater Practice/Merrybelle Park Productions). She will be in TWELVE ANGRY JURORS at Center Theater in September. She has worked as an actor for over 60 years, most notably for Manbites Dog Theater.

Kate Finlayson (Lillian Gray)

In recent years, Kate Finlayson has been an environmental educator for NC Museum of Natural

Sciences, a dance fitness teacher, and an acting instructor at Duke Drama camps and Extreme

Acting classes in Carrboro. She was a two-time Drama-Logue award winner in Los Angeles for LUANN HAMPTON LAVERTY OBERLANDER and WAR BRIDES and was doing a long run of John Patrick Shanley’s WOMEN OF MANHATAN when she met her husband Chris. Area theatre roles include Katie Cocker in Lee Smith’s THE DEVIL'S DREAM at The Barter Theatre, Gabriela Pecs in PENTECOST at Burning Coal, Dora in THE SWAN at Manbites Dog, Gorgeous Teitelbaum in THE SISTERS ROSENSWEIG at Cape Fear Regional Theatre and Keely in KEELY AND DU at Mill Mountain Theater. She recently performed in two literary performances at the ArtsCenter with Perihelion Productions. Film & TV credits include DIE HARD, MATLOCK, LA LAW, FALCON CREST, and LOVEJOY.

Sarah Froeber (Nora Dunn)

Sarah Froeber studied acting with Sanford Meisner and improvisation with the National Improvisation Theater and Chicago City Limits. She was a founding member of Transactors and served as artistic director and resident playwright of the award-winning Jelly Educational Theater. She has acted extensively with regional theaters such as the NC Shakespeare Festival, Duke Drama and Heritage Repertory Theater. She taught acting at Duke University.

Jordan Monadjemi (Dr. Evans)

Jordan Monadjemi is thrilled to join this staged reading of GRAY’S LILYy with RedBird Theater Company. Most recently, he portrayed another doctor in A NEW BRAIN with Aggregate Theatre Company, and starred as the lead in WITCH at Raleigh Little Theatre last fall. A graduate of Greensboro College (Theatre), Jordan has also appeared on screen in the indie film OH CRAPPY DAY, available on most streaming platforms. Endless thanks to his incredibly supportive wife, Lindsey, for being cool with all the rehearsals, late nights, and general theatre chaos. When not performing, Jordan can be found devouring books, running outdoors, or watching classic films.

Jeri Lynn Schulke (Director)

Jeri Lynn Schulke is an actor, director, producer and co-founder of RedBird Theater Company. Jeri Lynn has appeared in productions throughout the Triangle most recently in EUREKA DAY, THE GIRLFRIENDS' GUIDE TO THE WHITE HOUSE, A DOLL'S HOUSE PART 2, THE WOOLGATHERER (RedBird).
