She currently lives in Wilmington with a toothless chihuahua and a cat.

Jeffrey Eason (Actor - Andy)

Jeffrey is making his all around debut in the theater industry with NUMBERS ARE DOWN. While this may be his first theater work, Jeffrey has spent well over a decade in the music industry; on and off stage. If he wasn’t performing with bands or his solo work, Jeffrey was running sound for others, or being a production manager for virtually any kind of live event.

Jeffrey did his Meisner training at Wendy Ward Studios, through a scholarship that Ms. Ward created for him specifically. Wendy Ward very unfortunately passed away, but any of Jeffrey’s acting work, will always be a representation of how amazing she really was; as a teacher, as a mentor, and as a friend.

Nicole Gabriel (Actor - Cassie)

Nicole Gabriel is overjoyed to make her return to acting after 7 years. Some of her favourite past roles include Thomasina Coverly in ARCADIA (Deep Dish Theater Company), Abigail Gersten in DENIAL (One Song Productions), and Mercutio in ROMEO AND JULIET (Emerson College). Currently, Nicole is also producing her first ever video game title: AGES OF CATARIA. She would like to thank the whole cast and crew, the board of RedBird, her family and friends, and YOU for keeping the magic of theatre alive!

Sean Haggerty (Sound Designer)

Sean is a Durham based sound designer. His passion is in sound design but has worked in many fields in the live entertainment industry over the years. When not working in a theater he can be found outdoors with his dog Hogan or woodworking. He is excited to be back for his second production with Red Bird Theater company.

Monica Hoh (Actor - Max)

Monica is delighted to make her North Carolina debut with RedBird Theater Company as Max. New to the area, her previous memorable moments on stage took place with theater companies from the Northeast to the Midwest, among them, Hawkins in MEN ON BOATS , Muriel in DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, Crystal in THE WOMEN, and Mrs. Gibbs in OUR TOWN. She is so grateful to David and RedBird for the opportunity to act on stage again.

Derrick Ivey (Scenic Designer)

Derrick has worked as actor, director, choreographer, designer, producer, administrator, and educator in collaborations with dozens of North Carolina theater companies. He previously designed sets for RedBird's A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART II and portrayed Mark Rothko in RedBird's RED.

RJ Jurgensen (Comedian)

RJ is an Army vet who got his start in comedy in LA and Orange County, CA back in 2012. He's opened and featured for many of the top comedians in the country, including Tom Segura, Iliza Shlesinger, Andrew Dice Clay, Tommy Davidson, Pauly Shore, Dave Attell, Brad Williams, and many more.

Joe Keilholz (Stage Manager)

Joe has been stage managing in the triangle area for a number of years. While not working on stage, he can be found leading his own DevSecOps scrums while working in the cloud and working with some dock diving dogs. He's extremely happy to have been a part of this production and wonders where he misplaced his red stapler.

Pamir Kiciman (Actor - Frank)

Relatively new to the area, Pamir is making his Triangle theater debut with NUMBERS ARE DOWN. Catching the bug as a child actor, he steadily pursued a performance and directing career before taking a decades-long hiatus. His highlights include a recurring role in the Turkish TV sitcom PERIHAN ABLA; leads in A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS; THE ZOO STORY; LAUGHING WILD; and THE SUICIDE. Pamir is particularly proud of underground theater he did in Central Florida, bringing English-speaking theater to the diplomatic community in Ankara, together with small experimental pieces and translations into Turkish of sections of significant works put on with help from theater faculty members at the University of Ankara and the actors from the Turkish state theater. A stint in dinner theater also honed his skills. His other credits include THE AMERICAN DREAM; ARMS AND THE MAN; ABSURD PERSON SINGULAR; CALIFORNIA SUITE; and OUR TOWN. Pamir is thrilled to be performing again.

Griffin Matthews (Lighting Designer)

Griffin is a live events and creative professional based in Raleigh, NC. He focuses on live event technology and has worked in event production for several venues across North Carolina. He has experience in audio engineering, lighting design, and theatrical rigging, and has worked as a technician for NC State University Theatre, Duke Theatre Studies, Justice Theatre Project, and more. Griffin now works in broadcast television and is a freelance designer/technician. He is thrilled to be part of RedBird’s inaugural season.

Willis Maxwell, Jr. (Comedian)

Wills won Port City’s Top Comic in 2019 and was a regional finalist in StandUp NBC 2018. His comedy news segment "What Did We Miss?" ran on WWAY for over 5 years. Wills has performed at the Cola Comedy Convention, the North Carolina Comedy Festival, the Oak City Comedy Festival, and the Cape Fear Comedy Festival. Wills hosted Wilmington's late-night talk show "Late Fear with Wills Maxwell" for three years. He has also opened for several comedians including Tim Meadows and Jim Gaffigan.

Elena Montero Mulligan (Costume Designer)

Elena is so grateful and happy to be working with Redbird Theatre Company for the first time. An alumna of Meredith College, she’s often seen around the Triangle both onstage and backstage either acting or costuming (occasionally both). Recent design credits include KIDS WRITE FESTIVAL2023 and ART (Burning Coal Theatre Company) and TRICK OR TREAT, MR. McGREGOR! (Seed Art Share); recent onstage projects include Hodel in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (Cary Players), Chorus in Puccini’s MANON LESCAUT: IN CONCERT (North Carolina Opera), and Kay in OH KAY! (White Iris Light Opera). Many thanks to the rest of the production team and the cast and crew of NUMBERS ARE DOWN!

Brandi Roberts (Comedian)

Brandi is a stand up comedian, producer, and writer based in Raleigh, NC. Brandi acknowledges her sense of humor was birthed early in her youth. She did not dive into comedy until around 2015 after she dropped out of college. In just 7 years she has grown exponentially and has opened for acts such as Jenny Yang, Jenny Zigrino, Katie Hughes, Yamaneika Saunders, Ali Siddiq and more. She featured on the first “Black Power Ranger” Southern comedy tour in 2022. Brandi will go on tour again this Summer.”

Chris Shuptrine (Playwright)

Chris is a playwright based in Durham, NC. He's honored that RedBird selected his script for their inaugural season. While NUMBERS ARE DOWN is his first play, he's written humor columns for multiple papers, including Charlottesville's The Daily Progress and Boston's DigBoston. Outside of writing, Chris has been in the business world doing startup marketing for over 15 years. He lives with his wife and two senior cats.

Donna J. Smith (Actor - Lucy)

Donna is a native New Yorker who, after 28 years of living in NC, considers herself an honorary Carolina Girl. This is her first professional theater performance since 1989, when she appeared as Lady in Brown in FOR COLORED GIRLS WHO HAVE CONSIDERED SUICIDE WHEN THE RAINBOW IS ENUF.  She recently left her corporate career to pursue other interests like theater...and to spend time traveling the world, and hanging out with her children, Jordann and Grayson, and two doodles, Chloe and Lexi.  She is pleased to be a part of this performance, and to be a part of the RedBird Theater family.
