located at Southridge Mall in a small-ish or medium-sized-ish town.

BIOGRAPHIES

JJ Bauer (Stage Manager/Dramaturg)

JJ is delighted to be working again with longtime friends at RedBird Theater Company. She has been a stage manager, props manager, costume designer, set designer and completely unwilling actor for various area theater companies, including Deep Dish Theater, Ghost and Spice Productions, NC State Theatrefest, The Open Door Theatre, Street Signs Center for Literature and Performance, and Wordshed Productions.

Lucia Foster (Georgia)

Lucia has been involved with theater as a performer, director and educator for most of her life. Favorite professional roles include being on the drama faculty at Washington College and serving as Executive and Artistic Director of The Garfield Center for the Arts (both in Chestertown, Maryland).  In the NC regional theater realm, favorite acting roles include playing Emma Goldman in RAGTIME (Justice Theatre Project-2016) and Inez McCormack in SEVEN (Sotto Voce Theatre-2017;) favorite regional directing gigs: THE WOODSTOCK TONTINE (Women’s Theatre Festival 2017,) KiDSWrite (Burning Coal Theatre Co. – 2018) and multiple youth productions with ARCliTe (2017-2019.)  After a long hiatus from the stage, Lucia is delighted to be at play with this talented team and grateful to RedBird Theater Company for weaving her into this creative tapestry.

Akili Holder-Cozart (Jame)

Akili is excited to join RedBird Theater Company for the first time! She is a local actress, vocalist, writer, educator and director! She also serves as the artistic director of the Global Griots Theater Troupe. The troupe is a theater program through BUMP: The Triangle, a music and arts education non-profit based in the heart of Durham, NC.  Her passion lies in performing and helping others find themselves on the pathway to artistic alignment. Most recently, Akili starred as "Keely" in KEELY AND DU with Scapegoat Initiative, "Thomas Putnam" in THE CRUCIBLE with Henderson Rec Players and "LaTrice" in NRACT's CHICKEN AND BISCUITS. She also originated the role of "Patience" in FINDING PATIENCE: THE MUSICAL, starring on the soundtrack and in the AIN'T NOBODY SEES THEM music video, bringing home five film festival awards for Best Music Video. She also bears the sigil of Broadway World's Raleigh Awards Winner for "Best Musical Performance." As an entertainer, she makes bold statements and yearns to inspire others with her work.

Louis Landry (Sound Designer)

Louis Landry is a performer, composer and instructor based in Durham since 2011, following stints in Virginia and Texas as a touring and recording musician. He teaches private lessons at High Strung School of Music, and leads music classes for local preschools. In North Carolina, Landry has collaborated on music and sound for theater productions like Manbites Dog Theater’s PARIS 76 and THE BEST OF ENEMIES; Honest Pint’s SMALL MOUTH SOUNDS; and Common Ground’s MACCOUNTANT. He also served as musical director for Duke University's productions of BOB: A LIFE IN FIVE ACTS, JACQUES BREL IS ALIVE AND WELL AND LIVING IN PARIS, and GRANDFATHERED IN.  He loves nothing more than his dogs Molly, Barb, and Gus, and his cat Mabel.  More at www.LouisLandryMusic.com

Brett Neveu (Playwright)

Brett is a screenwriter and playwright whose feature films include ERIC LARUE (directed by Michael Shannon) and NIGHT'S END (directed by Jennifer Reeder). His theatre productions include REVOLUTION with A Red Orchid Theatre, VERBOTEN with the House Theatre of Chicago and TO CATCH A FISH with TimeLine Theatre Company, all having had past production runs with theatres like the 59E59 Theaters in New York City, the Royal Court Theatre in London and the Goodman Theatre in Chicago. His works have earned him the Steinberg/ATCA New Play Citation (for VERBOTEN) and the Ofner Prize for New Work. Neveu is also an ensemble member of A Red Orchid Theatre and teaches script writing as an assistant professor at Northwestern University.

Devra Thomas (Properties Designer)

Devra helps artists of all genres get their work started and in front of an audience once it's done. She is the former Executive Director of Common Ground Theater (Durham) and Theater Manager at Deep Dish Theater (Chapel Hill). Recent production credits are: KING LEAR for South Stream (props), MORNING AFTER GRACE for Raleigh Little Theater (props), and APPROPRIATE at NRACT (set dressing). She produced the critically acclaimed CHANGING SAME: THE COLD BLOODED MURDER OF BOOKER T. SPICELY (Mike Wiley Productions, StreetSigns Center, & Kenan Institute for Ethics).

Over the past twenty years, Devra has produced or supported close to a hundred theatrical works across North Carolina, and currently serves on the Advisory Board to RedBird Theater (Durham). She helps connect readers with North Carolina authors via her work at the North Carolina Literary Review. Devra holds a Masters in Arts Administration from Goucher College. Adam Traylor (Director)

Adam Traylor is a seasoned stage director with over three decades of experience bringing dynamic and challenging works to life across professional, collegiate, and community theatres. His directing credits span a wide range of genres, including DEATHTRAP (Temple Theatre) RAMONA QUIMBY (California Theatre Center), ON THE VERGE (North Carolina Wesleyan College), BALM IN GILEAD (University of Southern Mississippi), and the world premiere of A LITTLE BIT OF DESTINY (Odyssey Stage). Upcoming directing projects include RHINOCEROS with Switch Theatre Company.

Adam is the founder of Backstage Cyber, a consultancy helping arts organizations protect patron data, secure digital assets, and build resilient operational practices. Adam is also the creative force behind The Laden Stage, a platform committed to strengthening ties and promoting shared leadership within the local theatre community.

Erin West (Costume Designer)

​Erin has worked as a costume designer, costume technician, costume shop manager and wardrobe manager for regional and university theaters for over twenty years, with extensive experience designing, patterning, and building costumes for theatre and dance. Erin holds an MFA in Costume Design from The Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.

Lindsey Womack (Puff)

Lindsey Womack is excited to join the REVOLUTION team as Puff and perform in her first RedBird Production. Recent credits include: THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST (Intimacy Director, Stone Soup Theater Company); A CHRISTMAS CAROL (Ensemble & Assistant Director at Center Theater Company); LATE: A COWBOY STORY (Intimacy Director, Boy with Box Theater Company); and SILENT SKY (Assistant Director, Center Theater Company).
